Russ has been back to his old tricks lately, gifting fans with a flurry of releases in the span of just a few days. Kicking things off with “Think Twice,” he’s gone on to deliver on the tracks “Prosper,” and “Maybe.”taking a break from his self-producing streak, Russ recruits Scott Torch to handle all the production on each cut, and he’s keeping the trend going with his latest offering “Wife You Up.” This time around you can also catch the multi-faceted John Mayer blessing the tracks with his own work on the guitar. No vocals this time, but any appearance from Mayer is always appreciated.
On “Wife you Up,” the subject matter doesn’t veer much from Russ’s typical expressions of affections for a special someone, showing his appreciation for the one girl that was with him from the jump, and saw it all through his budding career as he vows to give up running around with other women for her sake.
